Our fescue based turf is a premium short bladed turf ideal aimed primarily at the sports market such as lawn bowls and golf course greens. However due to Monarch turfs unique properties that make it resistant to damage from heavy mowing it has been used in formal gardens and stately homes to create rich vibrant green show lawns.

Our Monarch turfs and also extremely well suited to the annual temperature changes around the York area. Fescue grass is a cool season grass, much more used to cold. It’s tightly packed shoots and tight root structure makes it resilient to cold and frost. This same, tight short blade density also prevents moisture loss during drought periods, so should we ever have a “scorching summer” ever again our Monarch turf will require less maintenance that most common lawn turfs.
